Terry Welder, Philosophy Instructor

Terry has Early Childhood and Elementary 6-9 and 9-12 Certification in Montessori Education. He also has K-12 Teaching Certification for the State of Montana and Guidance and Counseling Certification for the State of Montana. He holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English. Terry has worked as a teacher and administrator at Kalispell Montessori Center for more than 25 years. He was a long standing member of the Glacier Institute Board and he works part time as a curriculum development specialist for the Education book, Work House, has received National Awards from the Department of the Interior and from the Council for American Indian Interpretation. In addition to serving as a teacher trainer on Montana Montessori Teacher Education Institute staff and other Montessori training centers, Terry is a Montessori School Consultant and a Verifier for the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) Commission.
